The challenge

The association supports cancer patients and their families. Each beneficiary had a file with hand-filled forms, redone at every update. Monthly reports required by partners were compiled by hand from the files, with a constant risk of losing or duplicating information.

The solution

Starting from the platform built for the Cotoșman Association, we adapted the application to this association's workflows: beneficiary file with digital forms, documents generated automatically in Word from the entered data, Excel export for periodic reports and change history. Reusing the shared base cut cost and delivery time in half.

Why a shared platform for non-profits

After the Cotoșman Association project we noticed that non-profits have similar needs: beneficiaries, donors, documents, reporting. We built the second application on the same technical base, adapting only the specific modules. The result: a project delivered in half the time, with features already tested in production.

Technical details

Symfony 7, PHP 8, MySQL. Word documents are generated with PhpWord from the association’s templates, Excel exports with PhpSpreadsheet. Automated tests cover document generation so the format required by partners stays stable.
